Focused on Gold in Peru
Properties
Chanca
In April, 2010, Focus optioned it's Minas Chanca claims to Compania Minas de Buenaventura (NYSE: BVN, "Buenaventura"). Buenaventura is Peru's largest publicly-traded precious metals company and the World's 6th largest producer of silver, and operates seven mines in Peru. It also owns a 43.65% stake in the Yanacocha deposit, Latin America's largest gold mine.

The Agreement with Buenaventura will offer Focus a foothold in any future production scenario in a historic, rich, yet unexplored silver mining district. Should exploration be successful in delineating resources at Minas Chanca, the project could have operational synergies with Buenaventura's Mallay Ag-Pb-Zn Project, located some 10km south, where production is slated for 2011.

Location

The mine is located midway between the towns of Oyon and Cajatambo, some 160km north of the Peruvian Capital, Lima, at altitudes of 4,400 -- 4,900 m a.s.l. The property is located within the central Peru polymetallic belt, known for its silver-rich base metal deposits, many of world class category (Cerro de Pasco, Uchucchacua).
